Adjustable beds help improve the circulation of blood by allowing the body to rest at a particular angle. Through the same function, adjustable beds can also help ease tension of the lower back and lessen back pains. They also help improve breathing, assist in acid reflux, and facilitate many other health and medical benefits.

With its capacity to allow the occupant to lie in a semi-fowler position wherein his or her head is raised by about 30 to 45 degrees, people who have undergone surgery can lie and rest with a comfortable and safe position. Because of this function, adjustable beds are also called “semi-fowler beds.” 

Adjustable beds can also support knees at a specific angle, thus, allowing the occupant to experience a complete bed support in a position that is both comfortable and beneficial to the health. With the combination of inclining the upper body and supporting the knee at a specified angle, stress is taken off the lower back and the curves of the spine are supported, taking pressure off the other parts of the body.
