Dog Beds

Dog beds are a special type of beds made for dogs. Some pet owners do away from plastic wicker baskets and hearth rugs when it comes to THE sleeping place for their beloved dogs. And so, they invest in special pieces of furniture complete with upholstery and cushioning.
Complete with full finishing and comfortable features, dog beds also come in various designs and styles for pet owners to choose from. Dog beds don’t have to be put away from home decors since there are a lot of dog bed designs and styles to match the house’s interior decoration.
Dog beds are commonly found in homes of rich dog owners who can afford luxury for their pet dogs. Not only can they spend for their whims, but they can also spend for their beloved pets’ comfort. Dog beds come in two basic types: those designed for indoor use and those for outdoor use.
Why get dog beds for your dog
While others might think that dog beds are only luxury, dog beds also provide certain advantages for pet owners and their dogs. Here are some of them:
1. Dog beds give dogs a permanent place to sleep. They are kept away from other pieces of furniture in your home. This is because dogs would usually look for comfortable places to sleep or take a nap on, and without dog beds, they would be sleeping on your couch or bed.
2. Dog beds are designed to resist scratches and other marks from your pet’s nails. Even with well-trimmed nails, dogs can still cause wear and tear on your upholstery and household furniture. Dog beds keep dogs away from them by getting all those scratches with their durable and scratch-resistant surface.
3. Dog beds give dogs their own place inside the house. They are given a place to call “their own,” so you wouldn’t have to share your bed with your dog all the time. By giving your dog a permanent territory, you are minimizing its tendency to climb up your bed when they shouldn’t. Since dog beds are far more comfortable than other pieces of furniture, it would be easier for you to train dogs to settle on their dog beds.
Tips on choosing dog beds
As mentioned earlier, dog beds come in two types: indoor dog beds and outdoor dog beds. If you’re looking for indoor dog beds, go for those that are sturdy, are raised from the floor by about three inches, and have just the right space for your dog’s size. Dog sofas and miniature beds are popular styles for this purpose.
For outdoor dog beds, check out those with overhead shelter and are raised from the ground. Pup tents and garden-style furniture are among the favorites.

I want to buy one of your Extra Large Oblong beds for a 100 lb mastiff. I’m confused with the choice of covers. I want something sturde. Canvas? Micro Fiber? Upholstery? Whic is most durable and comfortable? I don’t care about the appearance as much as function. Please give me your thoughts.
Thanks, Ken
