I hate seeing the boxspring on our bed, which is not covered by our comforter. I have not been able to find a bedskirt to use with our bed because of the built-in foot board and horizontal bed board. That is, if the skirt sits atop the box spring in order to cover it and reach the floor (approx. 17-18"), it must have a split in the corners. I usually see bedskirts on frameless beds (i.e. without built-in headboards or footboards). If I cannot find a bedskirt, I could use a bedspread under the comforter which would go all the way to the floor (?), but this would require more daily attention when making the bed that a bedskirt would solve without any regular attention. Do you understand my problem, and do you know of any solutions? I'm thinking about taking scissors to the four corners of a bedskirt and pray the fabric doesn't unravel at the corners.
