Wall beds, also known as Murphy beds or fold away beds, are special beds, which can be flipped over and hidden in a wall cabinet or closet when not needed. While other wall bed cabinets come with cabinet doors to conceal the bed, others have no doors. Instead, the underside of the bed is made with a solid board to make it look as if it were part of the wall when flipped over.
Since they are designed to be easily “folded away” when not needed, wall beds do not have headboards, footboards, railings, and box springs.
